What I thought would be another 10-50 major on my Sunday night, turned out to be an interesting spot news experience. My reporter and I pulled up to the scene and immediately turned our attention to a horse casually grazing on the sidewalk of this incident.
Katy Boyd, 18, of Port Lavaca, was driving a 2013 white Ford F-450, which was towing a horse tailer (in it was Happy) when her truck hit Kimbre Herrera’s, 23, of Port Lavaca, white 2007 Impala on the intersection of Navarro and LaSalle in Victoria. Luckily, there were no fatalities. Kimbre Herrera suffered an injury to her right foot. Happy, the seven-year old horse, came out unscathed.
