Edgar De la Cruz was in a car accident in August of 2004. The accident left him with brain damage, and he lost most of his motor skills. It took the parents years to learn how to cope and meet the changing needs of their child.
It took seven years of physical therapy and speech and language therapy for Edgar to now say a few words, walk with assistance, sit alone, eat some on his own.

Although there was a clear language barrier with me and the family, It obvious that Edgar was a happy and bright kid and that his parents loved him. It’s another great story about parent’s willingness to sacrifice all for the betterment of their kid.
